"Fine Motor Skills" is a bit of a catchy hot phrase in the early learning area but what exactly is it about and why is there such a focus on it?
The reason fine motor skills is often a big focus is all the things that are bundled in there are very important pre writing skills. In order to give the kids the best chance once they start school of having a successful introduction to writing they need to have had the foundations covered at home or at pre-school.
